Easter Celebration

On Sunday we went to visit the farm to celebrate Easter... Cole & Lexi got some candy and books from the Easter bunny...

Speaking of the Easter bunny - does anyone know his name? Bill swears that the Easter Bunny has a name and it is Peter Cottontail. However, I maintain that the Easter bunny has no name - other than "Easter Bunny".
We wanted to make a Easter bunny and a snowman this weekend and have them shaking hands saying "nice to meet you" but we couldn't get the neighbors loader tractor or bobcat and we were too lazy to shovel all that snow.... so just imagine a picture of that here - and smile :-)
Anyway back to Easter....
Bill was the Easter storyteller - reading the books to the kids. Lexi would not put the Easter bags down the entire time and we learned she does not like sweet tarts or suckers...
Lexi also informed us how much she loved going to the water park and going down the slides - we are going to need to do that again very soon!
Cole is happy to help Lexi out with the candy she doesn't like and he is looking forward to T-Ball which starts next month.

Happy Spring!

Welcome Spring!! The first day of spring has come and gone... It's time to break out the grill, plant some flowers, get out the planter, plow the fields.....

Bill and I thought we would celebrate spring by having a party out on the patio... here are some pictures....

Funny no one came to the party - not even the dogs wanted to come outside and play....
Gotta love Michigan :-)

Happy Happy Birthday to You!

Holey Birthday Batman.....
Nothing like a little party time to spice up the dull month of February.....
A few Birthday celebrations going on for our family recently...
It all started out with my mom on January 16th - followed shortly by Cindi on Jan 27th, Lexi on Feb 24th, Traci on Feb 25th, Trevor on Feb 27th and Big Lare (BIG 60)on March 16th... WOW and that doesn't even include all the other people's b-days in Feb (the list is long but distinguished.....)
Anyway - here are some recent pics of the many b-day celebrations of late...

Shortly before Lexi's party - the cat (Diego the mountain lion) got chased up the tree by the dogs Ginger and Kayla.... this was quite the entertainment - as Bill and Trevor were climbing up ladders and up the tree to save Cole & Lexi's cat while everyone else watched and laughed.... finally the cat decided to jump down out of the tree - shortly after my dad threatened to get the chainsaw and cut the tree down with the cat in it.

Lexi got a new phone from Grandma and Grandpa, it says her name and she loves it... the next day it went in the bath with her :-) but it dried out and is still working whewwwwww

Hello Kitty.....
For dad's 60th birthday we had a surprise party at River Lake Inn... we told him we were going to dinner and when we got there Dan & Sarah McClure, Jim & Janice Wise and Chuck & Pam Miller were already there :-) Ask Chuck about his great joke :-) We had a great time and of course were able to discuss all of the exciting news/gossip of Fulton/Athens (you know the hub of the earth)
Dad got a few funny gifts for his 60th including this lovely Hello Kitty bag of tricks!
The pill bottle that he is reading in the picture was a specical prescription for a 60 year old farmer. The directions on the bottle explained that he was to take 1 pill when the weather was bad, 2 pills when it rains/doesn't rain, 3 pills when the hired man runs a wagon into a tree...
