Basketball Practice 2008
This week was the first week of Cole's 2nd grade basketball and Trevor and I are the coaches... yes you hear that right - Trevor and I - coaching 2nd grade bball... are we crazy I don't know yet... but let me just say that 2nd grade bball is a little chaotic and crazy, but tons of fun.. and who doesn't love the flashback of sitting in the middle of the gym learning about BEEF - Balance, Elbow, Eyes, Followthrough... I felt like I was back in school... hilarious! Here's a few pics of the fun...

First Christmas of 2008
On Sunday we visited Aunt Maude & Tom's house for our first Christmas of the year. We had a great time eating way too much food (no thanks to the pecan pie I burned that morning - good work bringing a different one Julie) and playing Bingo... we never get tired of Trevor saying uh huh every time his number is called... And of course, we had a special visitor - Santa, here are some pics of his arrival.

Jadyn's Christmas Play...

This week was little City's Christmas play at his school Howardsville Christian. He did a great job singing with his class, and was looking quite grown up in his shirt and tie. We're a litle worried about his arms though.. as you can see in the picture they don't seem to work above his head :-) we're gonna have to work on that one city folk.

All I really needed to know I learned on the Farm...

We recently had "farm dinner" with everyone who works on the farm during the year. It was a great time and we reminisced about some of the things we had learned in the last year of farming.... I would say we could actually replace All I ever needed to know I learned in Kindergarten to All I ever needed to know I learned on the farm.. but I think I will need some help. Here's what I have so far...
• Put things back where you find them.
• Tractors are Green, Trucks are Red.
• Smoke = Fire (maybe combine) GET THE WATER.
•Often in life, its better to be the hired man than the boss
• Quite a little bit means more than a little but less than a lot.
• You can learn a lot about a person by the way their hat is cocked.
• Lunchtime is at 12:00 noon - Don't bring spaghetti.
• When you go out into the world, look both ways when you cross the street.
• Rain is good - except when there is too much.
• Roots go down, plants go up - enough said
•No one actually knows where the Wasmunski place is...
•A pothole/wethole should probably remain that way... unless its in the way of something
•When its brown, it's down
•When life's got you down - pet King Kitty
